It's my favorite time of year...FALL!
It's that time again! FALL. School started a few weeks ago. The house is mostly quiet throughout the day. My almost three year old has mastered Netflix and plays well while watching Bolt! or PJ Masks. Pumpkin spice. Candles burning. A fire in the fireplace. Cool mountain air in the evening. Best of all- football has started! We went to our local high school's season opener two weeks ago. Living in Wyoming, unless it's a home game, you have to travel far to see your team play. We packed up the kids and snacks and drove two hours. Our team lost, but the atmosphere was amazing. It's moments like those, and the one's from my own high school experience, that breathe life into the characters in my stories.
Connor and Allie.
Walker and Blythe.
Cole and Joie.
It's all about the football! Who didn't dream of dating the star quarterback? Or the scrappy wide receiver who could catch anything? Maybe it was the strong defensive lineman? Whoever it was, Friday nights were all about football, school spirit, and friends. Man, I miss those days!
Still, I love a Sunday afternoon football game. Rooting for my team under a cozy blanket. A roast and mashed potatoes with gravy for dinner. Hmmm. I love this time of year. It has me thinking about Jamie Barnes and what his story might be? Can our favorite cross country runner from the Perks of Dating You ever get his chance to play football? Will he meet the girl of his dreams after losing his chance with Allie? I think he needs his own happily ever after. How about you?
Until next time, Go Colts!

Summertime Blues
Is it just me? Am I the only one? I love my children! I love them so much, but heaven help me, I want them to go back to school. This is the first summer I've tried to write from home while they've been home. Last year we did this summer program and they were gone having fun while I was plugging away at my next novel. This year we decided to just let them have a laid back summer at home, and let me tell you there has been nothing laid back about it.
Oh, the interruptions.
The drama.
The food requests.
And holy crap, the mess!!
I love my kids, I love my kids, I really, really love my kids.
Now go back to school already.
All that being said, my plans have been hijacked by four little stinkers and four more not so little stinkers.
My next book focusing on Noah Jacobs from Dating: One on One will be coming a little (ok, a lot) later than I was expecting. I have a week and a half left before school starts and I just need to enjoy my kiddos before they go back to school and stop sitting in front of my computer accomplishing nothing because they need me to be Mom, especially the one who's potty training (I'm really hoping that after 16+ years of raising kids, I'm almost done with diapers. Cross your fingers for me!)
Anyway, hope all of you are enjoying your summer if you still have some of it left!
Cheers!
Stephanie

The pitfalls of self-publishing
I wish I could say I was perfect, but since that isn't happening, I'll just admit I'm human. I released my new book Street Ball at the end of June and waited patiently (or not) for people to read it like they've done for my other books and well, let's just say that didn't happen.
I had this vision for my story and what it was and I put it out there a certain way and ker-plunk! The vision I had didn't really fit in with my brand. So, I stewed about it and stewed some more and finally decided I should just make some changes.
Since a lot of people haven't already read this book, and the contents haven't changed at all, I went ahead and changed the name and cover and promise not to forget who I am the next time I decide to publish a book. Oops!
I hope you will take the time to read Piper and Drew's story. I had a lot of fun with them and hope you will, too!
Sincerely,
Stephanie

Coming Soon - Street Ball
Coming soon my new book Street Ball! I should have this book ready for purchase in a few weeks. I'm shooting for mid-June!
Street Ball will be the first book in a new basketball series that will follow the talented athletes at Eastridge Heights High School. In the first book, we meet Drew Thompson, a superstar basketball player who refuses to play for the high school team. Pressures from his family and issues in his past prevent him from using his gift for basketball to help the team win the State Championship.
Can anything, or anyone, change Drew's mind?
Piper Hines is the star of Eastridge Heights girl's team. For the last few years she's been unlucky in love. As the tallest girl in her high school, its harder than one might think to find a guy. Enter the new guy, Drew Thompson. Tall, dark, and mysterious Drew catches Piper's interest right away. But Drew's not interested in Piper any more than he is in basketball. Or is he?
Find out in Street Ball!

The Perks of Hating You
by
Stephanie Street
My new book! Woohoo! I really enjoyed delving into Eden's world. Eden has some difficult things to learn about herself and the world and along the way the person she is most determined to not love is there for her. Dylan struggles to maintain his distance from his best friend's little sister- bro code demands it, right? But he's there for her when she needs him and it is almost impossible not to fall in love with the adorable little girl who's grown into a beautiful young woman.
Find out how Eden and Dylan juggle their differences and obstacles in The Perks of Hating You. Also, get some new insight into Connor and Allie's relationship from The Perks of Dating You.
As always, thanks for reading and don't forget to leave a review!
